More than 100 relevant experts and scholars and industry elites from the fields of elderly services, TCM healthcare and health management across China attended the conference.

During the conference, President Feng Xiaoli announced that 9 group standards including series of group standards "Specification of TCM Health Management Center for the Community-Dwelling Elderly" and Occupational skill grade standard for elderly traditional Chinese medicine health care
（Part 2: Training requirements, Part 3: Comprehensive evaluation requirements） were officially released and implemented, which were developed by the China Association of Social Welfare and Elderly Services and drafted by a team of experts led by Professor Chen Yan, Vice President of Hunan Academy of Chinese Medicine and Secretary of the Party Committee of the Affiliated Hospital. President Feng said that the series of group standards of "Specification of TCM Health Management Center for the Community-Dwelling Elderly" are the first batch of national group standards serving TCM health management for the elderly, which has added to the connotation of elderly services and provided technical support for community elderly service stations and elderly care centres to expand their service items and provide quality services. For the next step, CASWSS will set up the Elderly TCM Health Management Services Branch, so as to efficiently promote the integration and development of TCM health management and elderly services through a professional platform. CASWSS will also increase efforts to promote the publicity and training of the standards to speed up the implementation of the series of standards; CASWSS will take priority in promoting the construction of pilot projects, and plans to carry out the first batch of pilot projects in four provinces and cities, namely Beijing, Shaanxi, Hunan and Guangdong. By making every effort to build pilot demonstration projects, we will play a leading role and inject new development vitality to promote the construction of "Healthy China".

Zhai Huaqiang Director of TCM Dispensing Standardization Research Center of Beijing University of Chinese Medicine

Guo Qing, Vice President of CASWSS and Director of the Health Management Branch of the Chinese Medical Association, introduced ways to actively respond to the challenges of the sharp increase in chronic diseases and the ageing population to improve the health of the people, with the speech theme of Implement the 533 Health Management Project, Strengthen the Capability of Healthcare and Health Management. Zhai Huaqiang Director of TCM Dispensing Standardization Research Center of Beijing University of Chinese Medicine, with the the topic of "Inheriting the Original Wisdom of Tonic TCM and innovating TCM Health Management for the Elderly", shared the unique advantage of Chinese medicine which plays a leading role around the globe, and their efforts in developing TCM health management solutions for the elderly and conducting innovative research on the characteristics of the effects of tonic Chinese medicine, which can contribute to the health of people and achieve internationally leading results. Professor Chen Yan, Vice President of Hunan Academy of Chinese Medicine and Secretary of the Party Committee of the Affiliated Hospital, explained the series of group standards of the Specification of TCM Health Management Center for the Community-Dwelling Elderly. Professor Bu Xianchun, Famous TCM Practitioner of Hunan Province and Hunan Provincial Hospital of Chinese-Western Integrative Medicine, shared the physical characteristics, TCM interventions and health management of elderly diabetic patients with the topic of "Physical Characteristics and Health Management of Elderly Diabetes". Professor Yang Shi, former Director of the Research Department of the Center for Comparative Medicine of Peking Union Medical College Hospital, shared the Concept of TCM Health Management for the Elderly, introducing that the reproduction and survival of human beings, the healing of diseases and the maintenance of health through natural medicine, which advocates green and non-invasive methods to prevent and treat diseases and leads the way to the future development of health maintenance. Deng Jingyuan, Director of the Rehabilitation Medicine Centre of the First Affiliated Hospital of Xi'an Jiaotong University, shared his views on the management of elderly chronic diseases through a civilized and healthy lifestyle, nutritional diet, psychological adjustment, scientific exercise, TCM nursing, information technology for the elderly, monitoring of wearable devices, and elderly-oriented home-care adaptation. Zhang Lifang, member of the Leading Party Member Group of Healthcare Security Bureau of Haiyan County, Jiaxing City of Zhejiang Province and Director of the Medical Insurance Service Centre, shared her views on the establishment of a long-term care standard system and the reasonable and effective allocation of medical resources to enable the disabled elderly to enjoy the dignity and warmth of "care for the elderly" with the topic "Long-Term Care, Love and Support: Long-term Care Insurance Warmly Guards the Disabled Elderly". Yang Qingli, Vice President of Gansu Yuanda Investment Group Co., Ltd, shared the topic of "Quality Healthy Food, the Scientific Guarantee for Older People’s Life", which showed that maintaining healthy dietary habits plays an important role in improving the physical functions of the elderly and strengthening their immunity. Cui Deqi, Vice President of Beijing Eagle Eye Intelligent Health Technology Co., Ltd, shared the path and methods of Eagle Eye TCM to empower the health management of elderly TCM health management with the topic of "Technology Innovation Provides Technical Support for Community-Based elderly TCM Health Management Centres". Liu Yinping, Chairman of Shaanxi Qianjin Yaoju Medicine Group Co., Ltd. shared the topic of "The Due Role of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Elderly Care Services", in which he explained that "Qianjin Medicine" adheres to the essence of the theory of Sun Simiao, the "King of Medicine", builds the cultural brand of the King of Medicine and actively promotes the integrated development of Chinese medicine and elderly care industry. Wang Huinan, Chairman of Beijing Yileju Elderly Care Co., Ltd., introduced the unique operation model of"Yileju" Senior Living Club, which implements a three-point assessment system of "grades, classification and needs" and customizes one-to-one precise service content, develops eight operational modules and meet the different needs of the elderly through scenarios designs of stations.

The successful convening of this conference is a practical deed of CASWSS to actively explore the TCM health management service model for the elderly and innovate the integration and development of elderly services and TCM healthcare, which is of great significance in improving the healthy life quality of the elderly, promoting TCM culture, strengthening the capacity building of elderly services and cultivating a professional talent team. In the next step, CASWSS will focus on the health service needs of the elderly,apply TCM health care concepts and appropriate technologies into the field of elderly care services, and enable more elderly people to enjoy a new healthy life in old age through guiding TCM health management services into families, communities and institutions. The conference was a great success.
