Spring comes with long sunshine and beautiful scenery with fragrant flowers and gentle breeze. China Association of Social Welfare and Senior Service (CASWSS) held National Senior Care Industry Association Innovative Development Workshop in Guangdong Province to discuss the overall situation and innovative development plan of industry social organizations in the 14th Five-Year Plan period with the main leaders of provincial and municipal senior service associations all over the country.

Nie Yuansong, member of the party leading group and deputy director general of the Department of Civil Affairs of Guangdong Province delivered a passionate speech on behalf of the Department of Civil Affairs of Guangdong Province. He warmly welcomed colleagues from all over the country in senior service industry and briefly introduced the achievements of Guangdong province in service industry in the 13th Five-Year Plan period with the active promotion of relevant policies of the government departments and the joint efforts of the whole society. He also looked forward to the good prospects of senior service in Guangdong province in the 14th Five-Year Plan period. He was eager to see senior service industry associations to pay attention to and participated in senior service in Guangdong province and wished the workshop a great success. In her speech, Feng Xiaoli, President of CASWSS first extended a warm welcome to all participants who come to attend the meeting out of their busy schedule, and expressed her heartfelt thanks to them for their long-term enthusiastic attention and active participation in the construction and development of social welfare and senior service.

President Feng briefly summarize the serious of fruits of fully promoting the fast development of senior service development by improving policy system, carry out reform, encourage social engagement in the 13th Five-Year Plan period and analyzed the trend of fasten the building of new types and high-quality development of senior service industry in the 14th Five-Year Plan period, under the guidance of national strategy of actively deal with aging population. She also passionately described the development prospects of social organizations in the field of senior service to take new mission and play more important roles in face of new mission, new task and new employment at the new starting point of history. She emphasized that the significance of this meeting to guide industry associations to mobilize wisdoms and create new development concepts, make top-level design, clearly define work goals, use brainstorming and take active practice, work together and help each other, so as to play the role of “serve overall situation, mobilize wisdoms, make cross-border integration cooperation and serve the industry” to promote the innovative development of senior service industry. President Feng highlighted the work ideas, work orientation and major work goals of CASWSS in the 14th Five-Year Plan period and hope the participants work together to achieve development.

In the discussion session, the leaders of the provincial associations said one after another: CASWSS has not only determined the direction for our development during the 14th Five-Year Plan period, but also launched cooperation projects for practice, and we have gained a lot! In her concluding speech, President Feng Xiaoli said that on the occasion of welcoming the centenary of the Communist Party of China, we gathered in the frontier cities of reform and opening up and hold the 2021 National Senior Care Industry Association Innovative Development Workshop. Although the time of one day is very short, it is like a warm spring for relatives of all families getting together. Today, I am very moved to hear your exchange speeches. You care for the elderly and devote yourself to a common goal in different regions, demonstrating the great love spirit of social organizations. Today's meeting is a gas station for the innovation and development in the 14th Five-Year Plan period.

President Feng Xiaoli summed up the achievements of the meeting and put forward the following expectations:

First, study and understand the relevant policies of the government departments to promote the high-quality development of senior service industry, communicate with the government departments in a timely manner, and exercise the team, improve the ability, and establish brand by undertaking the relevant projects entrusted by the government. Second, formulate the key tasks during the 14th Five-Year Plan period and the year of 2021 according to the needs of the industry development and in combination with the key projects introduced by the CASWSS at today's meeting and effectively promote. Third, CASWSS will serve you wholeheartedly to sign agreement with all provincial associations to offer and share good resources to cooperate on formulation of group standard, development and promotion of education resources, repaid promotion and application of training projects of different types and levels, cultivation and promotion of service brand, so as to build win-win mechanism of cooperation and exchange to improve the ability to serve the industry under the common standard. Fourth, build good communication mechanism, organize cross-regional tour visits, study the difficulties put forward at this meeting, summarize experience and practice of each association, make timely publicity through owned media. Fifth, Improve the ability to serve the industry and members. According to the needs of cultivating new formats of elderly care services in the 14the Five-Year Plan period, CASWSS will refine and strengthen service functions, give full play to the role of existing community home service branch and Chinese medicine health management branch, and set up elderly care service professionals branch, elderly health management service branch, elderly cultural service branch and elderly tourism service branch, so as to achieve a clear division of labor and support each other, achieve interaction from top to bottom and linkage from left to right, guide and help local industry associations to improve the ability of professional services, and jointly help the innovation and development of Chinese senior service industry.

During the meeting, participants were organized to visit Yongai happy life experience pavilion, Hetai nursing center and Headquarter of Country Garden in Foshan. They personally experienced the product features of iterative renewal and humanistic care of elderly rehabilitation nursing supplies under the support of modern science and technology, and learned about the long-term care institutions with the theme of charity and public welfare, as well as the model of new community home care service consortium, and experienced the new feeling of robots entering the field of social service and innovating the concept of social service.

She spoke highly of the achievements of Guangzhou CAJ home care service center in actively cooperating with government departments to innovate community-based home care service mode and create diversified one-stop high-quality services for the elderly. Party members were deeply moved by the painstaking efforts made by the CAJ team to cultivate the spirit and ability of disabled children and youth to integrate into the society, innovate and expand the employment channels for disabled youth, and enhance their determination to actively participate in social welfare.
