Forum on Professional Training of Senior Care Services Successfully Held in Beijing

On May 10, as one of the most important sub-forums of The 7^th China International Senior Services Expo, Forum on Professional Training of Senior Care Services was successfully held at China National Convention Center, Beijing. The Forum was hosted by China Association of Social Welfare and Senior Service(CASWSS), organized by Health and Nursing Research Institute of Hangzhou Normal University, Medical School of Hangzhou Normal University and Beijing Med Time Technology Development Co.,Ltd, co-organized by Hangzhou Normal University and Beijing College of Social Administration.

Feng Xiaoli, President of China Association of Social Welfare and Senior Service, Liu Ying, Section Chief of the Development of Vocational Education of the Ministry of Education addressed the meeting. Feng Xiaoli said that since The 19th CPC National Congress, in order to resolve the contradiction between the huge needs for senior service and the insufficient supply, the Party and the government have introduced a series of policies to facilitate quality and efficiency improvement as well as rapid development of the senior service industry. China Association of Social Welfare and Senior Service has actively supported the government in the construction of a senior service system, actively explored the senior service personnel training model, effectively conducted professional vocational skill training. She sincerely hoped colleagues present today would use the Expo as a platform, further enhance cooperation, jointly conduct professional vocational skill training, making great contributions to the improvement of China’s senior service and management level! On behalf of the Vocational Education and Adult Education Department of the Ministry of Education, Liu Ying extended their congratulations on the successful organization of the Forum. She emphasized that Ministry of Education emphasize and support various senior service personnel education and training conducted by all sectors of society. The Forum on the Training of Service Care Professionals played a significant role in driving the education and training work of senior service professionals. She hoped this Forum can further promote the construction of the education system of disciplines relating to senior service.

Under the background of well addressing the issues of supply and demand of professional service, which relied on the building of professional talents. This required the deep cooperation in talents training area among professional academies, industrial associations and vocational training institutions. Therefore, China Association of Social Welfare and Senior Service and Shanghai University of Medicine & Health Sciences, Shanghai Industry Association of Social Welfare, and ZhongFu Elderly Senior Service Co., Ltd., Beijing Med Time Technology Development Co., Ltd., Health and Nursing Research Institute of Hangzhou Normal University and China Vocational Education singed four cooperation agreements during the forum. President of CASWSS Feng Xiaoli and representatives from Shanghai University of Medicine & Health Sciences, Shanghai Industry Association of Social Welfare and ZhongFu Elderly Senior Service Co., Ltd. singed a cooperation agreement on Strategic Cooperation Framework Agreement on The Establishment of a Cooperative Innovation Center for Senior Care Services,  signed Cooperation Framework Agreement on the Senior Service Talents Training through informatization with representatives from Beijing Med Time Technology Development Co., Ltd., and signed The Strategic Cooperation Framework Agreement on the Establishment of the Senior Service Talents Education and Training Center" with representatives from Health and Nursing Research Institute of Hangzhou Normal University, and signed Cooperation Agreement on Innovative Carrying out Senior Service Talents Training with representatives from China Vocational Education.

Later, Su Changcong, Member of Party Leadership Group and Deputy Director-General of Zhejiang Department of Civil Affairs, Director of Zhejiang Provincial Working Committee on Aging, Zhang Shaogang, Executive Vice President of China Association of Educational Technology, Xu Hong, Director of Health and Nursing Research Institute of Hangzhou Normal University delivered speeches on the topic of Positively Reaction to New Challenge Confronted by Senior Nursing Talents Construction, Innovation and Development of Educational Technology is an Important Support for Training Senior Service Talents, Professional Education Institutions Actively Undertaking Innovative Practice of Scientific Research in Senior Service Professional Training from the aspects of building of senior service talents team, research on senior service educational technology and innovative practice of senior service talents training in professional academies.

The training for senior service talents  needed multiple forces to jointly contribute. Signing activities during the forum was undoubtedly make positive efforts in promoting the domestic senior service talents training and system construction.
