CASWSS Party Branch went to Xibaipo to celebrate the upcoming CPC Founding Day

To celebrate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China (CPC), and conscientiously implement the requirement of Ministry of Civil Affairs on strengthening social organizations’ party-building work, on June 27, China Association of Social Welfare and Senior Service (CASWSS) Party branch organized all Party members and cadres to Xibaipo, a sacred place during the Chinese revolution. They visited veterans and Xibaipo Memorial Hall, made a general election of party branch and had a meeting on strengthening party building. All these activities has was to review Xibaipo Spirit, strengthen the sense of responsibility of Party members and discuss the party building plan. Today’s activity is very successful. Under the leadership of Honorary President Liu Guanghe, President Feng Xiaoli and Executive Vice President Zhang Mingliang, all the party members visited all the veterans who have made contributions to China’s Liberation at Honorable Home for the Veterans at Pingshan in Shijianzhuang. Everybody was happy to meet all these aged but vigorous veterans. They talked about their memories during the war and their spirit of patriotism and gratitude to the country and the Party could be found in their words. President Feng, on behalf of all CASWSS staff, expressed respect to the veterans and sincerely wish that they would live a happy life, she also showed thanks the staff who take care of all the aged people all along at Honorable Home. After that, all the party members went to Xibaipo Memorial Hall to visit an exhibition about the building of People’s Republic of China. The exhibition vividly showed our Party and country leaders looked far ahead and aimed high, worked out a successful plan with their wisdom and mobilized all the Chinese people to fight for liberation. All the staff learned the Party’s tenet, discipline during this patriotism education. After the visit, CASWSS party branch held a conference to make a general election. The conference was presided over by President Feng. Han Hua made a summary on behalf of the previous branch. According to requirements of Constitution of the CPC (Communist Party of China) and established procedures of The Interim Regulations on Election of Grassroots Organizations of the CPC, five comrades were elected as new branch committee members, i.e. Feng Xiaoli, Han Hua, Feng Liwei, Li Jing, Du Na. A discussion meeting was held after the election. Honorary President Liu said, “I am very glad to take part in today’s activity as an old party member who joined the party 50 years ago. To celebrate the upcoming 95th anniversary of the CPC’s founding, it has special meaning for the development of CASWSS to choose Xibaipo as today’s activity’s site and is of great importance for us to study party-building work and play our due role. ” He also sincerely hopes that the new party branch will lead all members to make a new future. All the old and new party members talked about their ideas. They all spoke highly of today’s activity which is rich in content and vivid in form. They not only learned the Xibaipo spirit of arduous struggle but also made determination to work hard. At last, President Feng made a summary on behalf of the newly elected party branch members. She showed thanks to Honorary President Liu who had pointed out a direction for CASWSS’s party-building work. Then she said that the year of 2016 marks the beginning of Chinese 13th five-year plan, to improve social and strengthen the social and public services, the government’s goal is to effectively improve the well-being of the people, to achieve a well-off society. New policy about government‘s purchase of social services has come out. Social organizations and associations will be in face of new opportunities and challenges. It’s our new task to learn how to conquer the difficulties to deal with challenges and how to ensure safe running and lift our survival and development capability. With the support of local civil affairs bureau, this activity has gained good results.
