CASWSS Leaders investigated in standardization pilot building at Jinhua Social Welfare Center

On June 28th, Feng Xiaoli, President of CASWSS led an expert group to make an interim examination on Jinhua Social Welfare Center in Zhejiang Province. Accompanied was Zhan Chuandong, Secretary General of Zhejiang Senior Services Association, Luo Yimin, rehabilitation engineer from National Research Center for Rehabilitation Technical Aids, Meng Fanli, Director of Health Management Department, Medical School of Hangzhou Normal University, Zheng Yongfeng, Deputy-Director of Jinhua Civil Affairs Bureau, Jiang Xiaoling, Director-General of Senior Service Evaluation and Standardization Construction Committee of CASWSS.
The expert group investigated its facilities establishment and layout, staffing, service, regulations and so on. During discussion, they listened to the report made by Jan Xia, Director of Jinhua Social Welfare Center about the standardization progress of senior service organizations.
The expert group gave positive recognition about its efforts and exploration in standardization building and believed that in the past ten years since the founding of Jinhua Social Welfare Center, it has accumulated rich experience in service and management. Up to now, the occupancy rate has reached 100%, in which the number of disabled elders accounts for 50%. However, its facilities layout didn’t reach the standards defined at Senior Care Organizations Standardization Pilot Building Plan because it has been established for a long time. Jinhua Civil Affairs Bureau paid high attention to this issue and has allocated 3.6 million yuan to improve its facilities and service. The expert group hopes that Jinhua Social Welfare Center will make effective improvement according to the Plan and try to make a good achievement in standardization pilot building.
Zheng Yongfeng expressed thanks to the experts for their guidance and stated that they would give support to the center for their standardization from the aspect of policies and funds.
Zhan Xia said that they would make improvement from the aspect of facilities establishment and layout, staffing, service and regulations according to the Plan so as to make the center meet the pilot requirements.
