Senior Service Institutions Standardization Construction Interim Work Promotion Meeting 2016 Held by CASWSS in Changsha

From August 4 to 5, Senior Service Institutions Standardization Construction Interim Work Promotion Meeting 2016 was held by CASWSS in Changsha. Leaders present at the meeting are Feng Xiaoli, President of CASWSS, Zhang Mingliang, Standing Vice President of CASWSS, Chen Yihua, Director of Hunan Province Elderly Work Committee Office,and Chen Changjia, Director of Changsha Civil Affairs Bureau. At the meeting, interim situation of this project was summarized and specific requirements were raised. At the same time, professional training, discussion, and on-site learning was organized. Heads of over 40 pilot institutions from 29 provinces or cities attended the meeting.

On behalf of Hunan Province Civil Affairs Department, Hunan Province Elderly Work Committee Office and Changsha Civil Affairs Bureau, Chen Yihua and Chen Changjia expressed their warm welcome to all the leaders, experts, and representatives from different institutions present at the meeting. They also wished that this meeting could be an opportunity for the effective promotion of the standardization construction in Hunan Province and Changsha.

Feng Xiaoli showed thanks to the support of Hunan Province Civil Affairs Department, Changsha Civil Affairs Bureau, Changsha No. 2 Welfare Institute. She introduced the project “2016 Social Organization Service Project Fiscal Supported by Central Government---2016 Senior Service Institutions Standardization Construction ”which is undertaken by CASWSS.And by detailed data analysis, she made a summary of the progress till now and raised requirement to the following work. She encouraged the second group of pilot units to fulfill its duty, learn from the advanced units and enhance communication, to develop its innovation ability by carrying out the pilot work effectively so as to be a role model in its district and a leading image in developing senior service industry scientifically.

At the meeting,Sun Jie, Head of Changsha No.2 Social Welfare Institute and Yuan Zhi, Director-General of Kangle Nianhua Senior Service Institute shared their experience in pilot work. Sarah Song,Director-General Assistant of SSIDC made a summary to the Ability Assessment for Elder Adults situation in this project. Li Hailong from Peking Union Medical College Hospital, Liu Songhuai from China Rehabilitation Research Center, Meng Fanli from Hangzhou Normal University and Qin Peijie from China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences respectively taught lessons on The Elder’s  Nutrition Dietary Management, the Basic Technology of Psychological Communication with the Elderly,  Health Management of the Elderly and Elderly Health Care on Traditional Chinese Medicine.

During the meeting, leaders and heads of different institutions had extensive discussion and communication on their problems and difficulties in their pilot work,and then they visited Changsha No.2 Social Welfare Institute on its standardization pilot work, especially on its living district, ability assessment for elder adults room, public bathing room, rehabilitation room.All attendees felt that they gained a lot from this meeting which was arranged tightly but rich in content. In the future they will implement the pilot work’s requirement and try their best to complement this task.
