-- On the morning of May 3, the opening ceremony of The 5th China International Senior Service Expo & the 5th Forum on the Development of Chinese Senior Service Industry was held in the China National Convention Center. This expo was jointly sponsored by the Ministry of Civil Affairs and the Office of the China National Committee on Ageing, and jointly held by China Association of Social Welfare and Senior Service, Beijing Civil Affairs Bureau, and Beijing Municipal Committee on Ageing; 10 countries and regions as well as more than 200 government departments, senior service institutions and brand enterprises in the senior service field in China participated in the Expo.

Wang Jianjun, Executive Deputy Director of National Elderly Work Committee Office, hosted the opening ceremony. - On the afternoon of May 3, the "Second Membership Representative (Transition) Conference of China Association of Social Welfare and Senior Service" was held in Beijing conference center. The 11^th Vice President of CPPCC and first Honorary President of China Association of Social Welfare and Senior Service, Zhang Meiying, presented at the meeting and addressed. And Meng Zhiqiang, Deputy Director of the Elderly Welfare of Social Welfare and Charity Promotion Office in the Ministry of Civil Affairs, also presented at the meeting and addressed. The meeting was hosted by Liu Guanghe, the President of China Association of Social Welfare and Senior Service and group leader of the preparatory work for the transition of China Association of Social Welfare and Senior Service, and Zhang Mingliang, the Executive Vice President. In the meeting, they listened to the Work Report of the First Council of China Association of Social Welfare and Senior Service reported by the Vice President and Secretary General, Feng Xiaoli, and passed the documents of the Financial Work Report of the First Council of China Association of Social Welfare and Senior Service, the Article (revised draft) of China Association of Social Welfare and Senior Service and the Related Condition, and the Proposal on Establishing Beijing Zhongfu Elders' Culture and Media Limited Company by China Association of Social Welfare and Senior Service; They also selected the second president, the Vice President and the Secretary General. The First Council President of China Association of Social Welfare and Senior Service, Liu Guanghe, addressed at the meeting, and the newly-selected President, Feng Xiaoli also spoke at the meeting, expressing her sincere thanks to the trust and support of the leaders, the workmates and the colleagues, and representing the new leading group to declare that they will lead everyone to expand the business and to make the association well develop, trying to increase its influence within the industry. The meeting achieved complete success.

In the end, the meeting awarded the benevolent entrepreneurs took part in the activity of "Welfare Culture Going into Thousands of Families" in 2015 and 2016 with the "Welfare Cultural Construction Contribution Award".

- From May 3 to May 5, the 5th China International Senior Service Expo simultaneously held 12 thematic seminars centering on the key contents of social senior service system: "Elderly Health Care Thematic Seminar", "Thematic Seminar of Elderly Architecture Standard Construction", "Thematic Seminar of Senior Service Standard Construction and Operation Management", "Thematic Seminar of Senior Service Information Technology Innovation", "Practice and Promotion Theme Seminar of Senior Service Brand Construction", "Thematic Seminar of Community Household Senior Service", "Thematic Seminar of Senior Recovery and Nursing", "Thematic Seminar of Medicine-Care Combination", "Thematic Seminar of Aging Education and Senior Service Talent Cultivation", "Thematic Seminar of Elderly Health Management", "Thematic Seminar of Cognition Disease Premium Nursing", "R&D and Promotion Thematic Seminar of Senior Service Equipment Articles". More than 100 experts, scholars and practical workers from 13 countries respectively made a splendid speech at each seminar, sharing the wisdom and experience of the humanistic care the elders of their own countries, and further exploring the new pattern for senior service in a new period. There was hot atmosphere and no empty seats at all seminars, which gained the high praise of the distinguished guests and the audiences.
