-- On July 21, President of the Association Feng Xiaoli was present the seminar National Barrier-free Development Strategy (Study Series) held by the China Disabled Persons' Federation by invitation. Vice-chairman of China Disabled Persons' Federation Lv Shiming presided over the seminar. And leaders like Director of Strategy Research Office of Party School of the Central Committee of C.P.C Duan Peijun, Chairman of China Association of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Yang Yang, Vice-chairman and Secretary General of China Blind Person's Association Li Qingzhong, Deputy Director of State Information Accessibility Public Service Platform of Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China Huang Chang, Deputy Editor-in-chief of Liaoning People's Publishing House Zhao Xueliang, Executive Director of Institute for Accessibility Development of Tsinghua University Shao Lei and so forth attended the seminar. In addition, they made a further discussion of the project. In the seminar, they agreed that: China Association of Social Welfare and Senior Service, as the partner of the project, undertakes part of research and development task and provides subsidies for the project. And both two parties sign cooperative agreement as for specifics.
-- July 22 witnessed working conference of national civil affairs system's second counterpart support for Tibet and four provinces of Tibetan areas in Lhasa Tibet. Deputy Party Secretary and Chairman of Tibet Autonomous Region Losang Jamcan made a speech in the conference. In addition, comrades of Department of Civil Affairs of Jiangsu, Anhui and Shandong Province made statements on behalf of provincial (municipal) department (bureau) of civil affairs which provide counterpart support for Tibet. What's more, provincial and municipal representatives receiving support, representatives of units directly under Ministry of Civil Affairs and representatives of places where support is received signed agreements of counterpart support for Tibet. The conference witnessed the start of "Warm Tibet Plateau with Great Love -- Annual Aid Activity for Tibet by National Social Organization". China Association of Social Welfare and Senior Service is one of the 16 national social organizations which are the first pioneers to participate in donation project. Its Secretary General Han Hua attended the conference on the spot and accepted the Certificate of Honor "Warm Tibet Plateau with Great Love" issued by Ministry of Civil Affairs on behalf of the association.
-- On July 28, President of the association Feng Xiaoli led expert group to make an in-process inspection of Project for 2016 Standardized Pilot Construction of National Senior Service Institution in Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province. The expert group made site inspection of the two standardization pilot units: Social Welfare Institute and Chinese Love Department for the Elderly in Xihu District of Nanchang City in terms of environmental facility, device layout, system construction, personnel and post allocation, service delivery, quality management and so forth. All experts made objective evaluation for the achieved effect and existing deficiencies in standardization construction from different point of views and put forward concrete improved requirements.
