-- From August 4 to 5, the association organized and held "Mid-term Work Advancing Meeting of Standardization Pilot of National Senior Service Institution" in Changsha City. Leaders like Feng Xiaoli, the President of China Association of Social Welfare and Senior Service, Zhang Mingliang, the Executive Vice President, Party member of Department of Civil Affairs of Hunan Province, Chen Yihua, Director of Provincial Office on the Aging, Secretary of Party Committee, Chen Changjia, the Director General of Civil Affairs Bureau of Changsha City, and so forth attended the meeting. Executive Vice President of China Association of Social Welfare and Senior Service Zhang Mingliang presided over the meeting. President of the association Feng Xiaoli made a conclusion of mid-term condition of Project for 2016 Standardized Pilot Construction of National Senior Service Institution organized and served by the association with financial support of central government. In addition, she put forward concrete requirements for the promotion of late work, and organized professional training, exchange forum and on-site learning and survey. Heads of over 40 pilot units of senior service standardization from 29 provinces (municipalities) across the country attended the meeting.
-- On August 10, the association held "Presidents' Working Conference in the Second Half of 2016" in Beijing. President of China Association of Social Welfare and Senior Service Feng Xiaoli presided over the conference. Executive Vice President Zhang Mingliang, Vice President Zheng Gongcheng, Li Jianjun, Yuan Xiang, Liu Yutong, Yang Xijun, Niu Xuexing, Yao Li, Tian Lanning and Chen Wenlong, Secretary General Han Hua, Vice Secretary Generals Ding Bensen, Ren Shengjun, Liu Zhigui, Chen Dongsheng and Feng Liwei attended the conference. In the conference, they listened to the association's working condition of the first half of 2016, made an examination about Preparing Material for Health and Nutrition Branch of China Association of Social Welfare and Senior Service, Preparing Material of Home Care Division of China Association of Social Welfare and Senior Service, Financial Revenue and Expenditure Condition of the First Half of 2016 of China Association of Social Welfare and Senior Service, and Work Schedule about "Two Studies, One Action" of Party Branch of China Association of Social Welfare and Senior Service.
-- On August 11, President of China Association of Social Welfare and Senior Service Feng Xiaoli attended "2016 China (Qingdao) International Pension Industry and Elderly Care Expo" by invitation on behalf of the guiding unit of the exhibition. Vice Secretary General of Qingdao Municipal Government and Director of Government Research Office Wang Zhe and Deputy Inspector of Department of Civil Affairs of Shandong Province Zhang Mengqiang made an opening speech. President of the association Feng Xiaoli announced the official opening of the expo. At the same time, there were 5 forums and colloquium exchange activities. President of the association Feng Xiaoli made a speech with the theme of "Accelerating Development and Promotion Mechanism for Improving Senior Service and Management Technology to Facilitate Scientific Development of the Industry" in the forum.
-- From August 17 to 19, Liu Guanghe, the Former President of the the Association, Feng Xiaoli, the President, Zhang Mingliang, the Executive Vice President, led expert group to make a survey on development condition of senior service institutions in Jiangsu Province. They focused on an in-process inspection of standardization construction pilot work of 2016 national senior service institution in Jiangsu Province. And they made an inspection of Social Welfare Center of Pizhou City and Kanglenianhuashuofang Elderly Care Community in Wuxi New District successively in terms of environmental facility, device layout, system construction, personnel and post allocation, service delivery, quality management and so forth. The study group held on-site forums successively in the two pilot units, listening to case report about developing standardization pilot by heads of provincial and municipal civil affairs departments and pilot units; All experts made objective evaluation for the achieved effect and existing deficiencies in standardization construction of pilot units from different professional perspectives and put forward concrete improved requirements. During the inspection period, the Association leaders went to Ankangtong Branch Company of SanPower Group and Orpea Xianlin International Care Center to make field research in the company of leaders of provincial department of civil affairs.
