March 10th: China Association of Social Welfare convened “Achievements Demonstration Meeting on Talents Team Cultivation Project for Children Welfare Institutions”; leaders from The Civil Affairs Bureau of Tianjin, scholars, partial project team members, chiefs of children welfare institutions, and other personnel attended this meeting, and they jointly discussed and demonstrated on the project achievements.    

March 16th: China Association of Social Welfare held“2015 Meeting for Advancing Works for All Provincial (Municipal) Associations of Social Welfare & The Meeting for Advancing Works of Standardization Development Pilots of Senior Service Agencies” at Beijing Golden Heights Haikou Branch (a senior service standardization development pilot). This meeting was chaired by Standing Vice President Zhang Mingliang from China Association of Social Welfare. President Liu Guanghe from China Association of Social Welfare, Deputy Director Zhen Bingliang from Department of Social Welfare and Charity Promotion in Ministry of Civil Affairs and Deputy Director Wang Ning from Hainan Provincial Department of Civil Affairs attended this meeting and delivered speeches. Vice President and Secretary-General Feng Xiaoli of China Association of Social Welfare, Secretary Lu Jianshe of Party Committee from Social Security Capacity Building Center under MOHRSS, Vice President Zhang Kaiti from China Silver Industry Association, Section Chief Zou Yonghong from Science and Technology Section under Department of Human Resources in Ministry of Civil Affairs, and other leaders attended this meeting. Chiefs from 22 provincial (municipal) civil affairs departments and association of social welfare, and chiefs of all provincial (municipal) standardization pilots entities attended this meeting. Senior Service Informatics Development Committee (SSIDC) introduced the software for Ability Assessment for Older Adults to 39 national standardization pilots of senior service agencies.

8th to 22nd of March: “2015 The First Term of Training Program for National Senior Caregivers (Intermediate)” was opened in Beijing, which was sponsored by China Association of Social Welfare and co-organized by Social Security Capacity Building Center under Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security of the People's Republic of China (MOHRSS). Standing Vice President Zhang Mingliang from China Association of Social Welfare, Secretary Lu Jianshe of Party Committee from Social Security Capacity Building Center under MOHRSS attended and addressed at this ceremony. 110 trainees in total sent by senior service agencies from 17 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities of China participated in this training.

March 25th: China Association of Social Welfare convened “The Final Review Meeting on R & D Results for Textbooks on The Second Batch of Senior Service Vocational Skills Practical Trainings.” This meeting was chaired by Professor Du Peng from The Research Institute on Aging of Renmin University of China. Leaders participated in the project review and acceptance including Secretary Lu Jianshe of Party Committee from Social Security Capacity Building Center under MOHRSS, Vice President Zhang Kaiti from China Silver Industry Association, Section Chief Liu Ying from Distance Education Section of Department of Vocational and Adult Education under Ministry of Education, President Wang Qifu from The School of Continuing Education of The Open University of China, Professor Xu Qin from Gerontology Research Center in Tsinghua University, Secretary Cao Sujuan from Beijing No. 5 Social Welfare Institute, President Li Shengcai from Beijing Shijingshan District Social Welfare Institute, President Sun Zhaoyuan from Tianjin Nursing Home, and President Sun Huizhong from Suzhou Social Welfare Home. Review experts unanimously considered that the R&D on Series of Textbooks on The Second Batch of Senior Service Vocational Skills Practical Trainings set up textbook courses innovatively with objective of cultivating talents with vocational skills in the specialized senior service field from the perspective of promoting professional talents cultivation in senior service field. The latest research and practice results at home and broad have been absorbed in aspects such as elderly rehabilitation service, nursing service, mental counseling service, instruction for sports activities, professional care for dementia, TCM health care and training for President of senior service agencies; therefore, it has embodied the higher professional level with foresight and applicability. Experts unanimously approved and passed the textbook review and acceptance.

March 25th: China National Technical Committee of Standardization for Social Welfare Services held the Sci. & Tech. Projects Review and Acceptance Meeting in Beijing, to carry out acceptance for the results of No. 2 Project “Research on National Social Senior Service Standardization System Development and Standard” under the “Demonstration Project on Development Research and Application of National Social Endowment Integrated Information Service Platform” of “National Sci-Tech Support Plan” within “the Twelfth Five-year Plan”, which was undertaken by China Association of Social Welfare with authorization from Ministry of Science and Technology.

March 30th: China Association of Social Welfare convened “The Sixth Session of Standing Council of The First Council” via the form of signing signatures in lieu of holding a meeting; this meeting mainly asked all standing council members to determine the following documents for China Association of Social Welfare: 2014 Work Summary, 2014 Financial Report, 2015 Work Plan, and Name List of New Executive Members of the Council and Council Members in 2014.
