Dear all members:
Since the outbreak of the novel coronavirus pneumonia epidemic (COVID-19), great importance has been attached by the Central Committee of the CPC. General Secretary Xi Jinping took the lead and made timely deployment in person and the whole country has launched a defense war to fight against the epidemic and save people's lives.
When disaster strikes, help comes from all sides. CASWSS Party Branch and administrative leaders take rapid response to the calling of the Ministry of Civil Affairs and make timely actions and arrangement. CASWSS Party Branch sent timely calling to all party members and staff. Party cadres took the lead in making individual donations, all staff responded positively to support the epidemic prevention and control work of the nursing homes in Wuhan with practical actions. CASWSS leaders led the work and took quick action. On-line Presidents' meeting was held and the decision was made to allocate 300 thousand yuan from CASWSS’s own fund to purchase urgently-needed materials for epidemic prevention to help nursing homes in Wuhan. With the great support and hard work of Wuhan Civil Affairs Bureau and Wuhan Charity Federation, as well as the help from relevant social organizations and production businesses, 4000 barrels of medical alcohol, 1000 pairs of goggles, 1000 pieces of protective clothing and 1000 sets of 84 disinfectant have been sent and distributed to nursing homes in Wuhan. In addition, CASWSS also donated 10 Ultraviolet Disinfection Lamps to Social Welfare Institute of Wuhan Jianghan District, which is in the hardest-hit area of Wuhan. The donation has timely helped solved the nursing homes’ problem of lack of prevention materials, showing the full efforts of CASWSS to support Wuhan to fight against COVID-19.
Currently, we are in the most crucial stage of the fight against COVID-19. Most of the nursing homes in Wuhan face the difficulties of lacking materials for epidemic prevention, lacking daily necessities, and shortage of caregivers. In order to help Wuhan nursing homes to overcome difficulties, recently the Ministry of Civil Affairs issued the Letter of Working on Supporting Wuhan Nursing Homes in Fighting against COVID-19, which motivated social organizations to work together to provide full support to Wuhan and focus on helping Wuhan nursing homes to solve urgent problems through jointed efforts.
Since its founding 10 years ago, as an industry association directly subordinate to the Ministry of Civil Affairs, CASWSS has stuck to its mission and provided service to the government, the society and the industry, led members all over the country to work together, and nurtured a united, resourceful, passionate and dedicated team, playing positive role in promoting industry development. Now CASWSS would like to send the proposal to all members and ask every member to positively response to the calling of the Ministry of Civil Affairs and offer selfless and rapid support to nursing homes in Wuhan! Please take your own advantage to raise funds and materials, arrange caregivers to go to Wuhan and help nursing homes, so as to help solve the urgent problems faced by Wuhan nursing homes, making contribution to winning the fight against COVID-19 and protecting the safety of elders as well as caring for frontline senior care personnel!
Despite distance, all of us belong to a big family. In the field of senior service, nursing homes in Wuhan made great contributions in leading standardization development, from which all members got benefit. We believe, with the concerted efforts of all members, we will surely help them to win the battle against the disease and embrace the spring, drawing a new chapter for the vigorous development of Chinese senior service industry.
