2018 High-end Forum on Health and Senior Care Brand Construction and the Third National Training Course for Deans of National Nursing Homes Successfully Held in Guangzhou

On December 28th, “2018 High-end Forum on Health and Senior Care Brand Construction and the Third National Training Course for Deans of National Nursing Homes” was held at Yueyuan Senior Community of the Taikang House in Guangzhou. The event was co-hosted by China Association of Social Welfare and Senior Service and Taikang Health Industry Investment Holdings Co., Ltd., Guangdong Province Pension Service Chamber of Commerce, Guangdong Province Excellent Social Service Evaluation Center, and organized by Yueyuan Senior Community of the Taikang House in Guangzhou. Chen Dongsheng, Chairman of Taikang Insurance Group, Feng Xiaoli, President of China Association of Social Welfare and Senior Service, and Nie Yuansong, Deputy Director of the Guangdong Provincial Department of Civil Affairs attended the forum and delivered speeches. He also explained that Taikang has entered the senior and medical industry with its health as its core, expanded strategic layout around insurance, asset management and medical care and senior service. "Let the insurance shine the brilliance of humanity, let the journey of life shine, let Taikang become a part of people's happy life", he said with passion, “Taikang respects life, cares about life, prays for the profound practice of life values, Taikang will continue to cultivate on the road of combining medical care and building a healthy ecosystem, and spare no effort to contribute to the development of China's aging industry. I hope that all colleagues in this forum will be inspired through discussion and collision of thoughts, provide better intellectual support to China's senior service industry to become bigger and stronger.

In her speech, President Feng Xiaoli analyzed six major trends in the development of senior service industry in the new era. The first aspect relates to the demand, which is to remove the worries of elders instead of maintaining their decent and dignity, establish a widespread new concept of active aging. The second aspect relates to supply. Under the active advocacy of the national leaders, driven by the policy of the government departments, the national supply-side reform has achieved remarkable results in the field of senior service area through the pursuit of the growth of service supply to structural optimization and quality improvement, further creating a condition of fairness and sustainable development. The third aspect relates to system and policy, which is from single-level institutional arrangements to multi-level institutional arrangements, overall planning, multiple mergers will provide stable policy expectations for the sustainable development of senior care industry. The fourth aspect relates to actively guide scientific and technological innovation, cross-border integration, high-quality resources to accumulate rapidly to the senior care service field, and continue to improve the professionalization and diversification of services. The fifth aspect relates to the deepening international cooperation in the field of senior care services. The localization of international service brands is accelerated. The sixth aspect is that the active engagement of social forces provides impetus to the vigorous development of endogenous senior services, the self-service Chinese brands sprung up like mushroom.

She profoundly expounded the connotation, measurement standards and cultivation path of the brand from different levels, and proposed to promote the reform of the supply side of senior service. The important link is to focus on brand building and introduce successful experience in the cultivation of other industry brands, based on standardized construction, using the industry's assessment and certification as a means to help the nursing homes to recognize the brand, cultivate the brand, improve the market competitiveness and sustainable development in a scientific way. She introduced the Taikang House, Vanke Suiyuan, Jianghan Social Welfare Institute of Hubei, Ci Aijia, Taihe Free City, Jiangnan Health Culture Village and China West Quinoa Industry Innovation Alliance, who are diligently working in the field of China's senior care services and cultivating the characteristics of the brand. She earnestly hoped to share experience, guide the establishment of brand development concept. She hoped they can make China's independent senior care service brand bigger and stronger under the guidance of relevant national policies and the efforts of colleagues in the industry through exchange learning, innovative practice, add strength to the bright future to China’s senior service industry, and devote true emotion to the better life of the Chinese elderly.

Nie Yuansong, Deputy Director of the Guangdong Provincial Department of Civil Affairs, first expressed his congratulations on carrying out this forum in Guangdong on the occasion of New Year in his speech. He expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the China Association of Social Welfare and Senior Service for its long-term support for the development of the senior service industry in Guangdong, and express his sincere gratitude to Taikang Insurance Group for innovating and nurturing service brands and serving the elderly in Guangdong. He introduced the achievements made by Guangdong Province in the construction of senior service policy system, the infrastructure construction of nursing homes, and the training of professional talents during the 13th Five-Year Plan.
