Opening Ceremony of 2017 Elderly Health Management Practical Professional Skills Training

In order to actively promote 2017 Central Government Support Social Organizations to Participate in Social Service Projects-Jiangsu Senior Service Institutions Standardization Pilot Project and China Association of Social Welfare and Senior Service 2017 National Institution of aged care service standardization pilot project, guide pilot units to raise standards of service, complete personnel allocation, China Association of Social Welfare and Senior Service (hereinafter referred to as CASWSS) launched the Opening Ceremony of 2017 Elderly Health Management Practical Professional Skills Training in Tonglu Southeast Health Culture Village in Hangzhou, Zhejiang on September 25th. Meng Fanli, Vice-president of CASWSS; Zhan Chuandong, Secretary General of Zhejiang Senior Service Industry; Gao Shumo, Director of Southeast Health Culture Village; Qi Xingfang, President of Chinese Medical Department of Southeast Health Culture Village attended the Opening Ceremony. Han Hua, Secretary General of CASWSS hosted the Opening Ceremony. 90 trainees from national pilot units and Jiangsu pilot units attended the training.

Meng Fanli, Vice-president of CASWSS welcomed all the trainees, she mentioned in the speech that now days the government pay high attention to the issues related to elderly health care, the published paper pinpointed to enhance the management of elderly health, perfect the system of elderly health service. Some specific requirements are given in CASWSS National Institution of aged care service standardization pilot project: whether an institution of aged care can provide professional elderly health management service and professional staff is the core assessment elements, as well as the essential embodiment of a standard institution. In recent years, CASWSS actively launched project research, Elderly health management post practice training materials filled in the gap that no domestic practical training textbook for elderly health management. The pilot training created a study platform for senior service staff, played a vital role in contributing the building of senior service professionals. In the end, she hoped the trainees cherish this opportunity, obey the discipline and complete the tasks on time. She also expected them to put the professional skills to use, actively raise the service level and perform every requirement of pilot project.

Secretary General Zhan Chuandong, on behalf of the Zhejiang Senior Service Industry welcomed the trainees’ studying in Hangzhou, and delivered a speech about the importance of elderly health management in the Opening Ceremony. He pointed out CASWSS played an influential role in promoting the standardization of aged care institution and strengthening the construction of social service personnel and leading the development of senior service industry. He hoped those trainees can get professional knowledge, grasp professional skills under the guidance of high level instructions, and guarantee the healthy life of the elderly through standard and professional service.

Director Gao Shumo introduced the advanced health management system of Southeast aged care village, and pointed out that Southeast aged care village appreciated CASWSS for inviting them as the host of National Institution of aged care service standardization pilot project, which could be regarded as great support and fully affirmation. They would do their utmost to set up security and create a good learning environment.

In the coming days, Guo Qing, Vice-President of CASWSS and Zhejiang Chinese Medical University; Meng Fanli, Vice-President of CASWSS and Director of Health Management Department of Hangzhou Normal University; experts form Health Management Department of Hangzhou Normal University Zhao Falin, Liu Shucong, Sun Zhifang, Shi Xin, Wang Dahui, etc will give lectures about elderly health management introduction, elderly rehabilitation medicine knowledge, elderly nutrition and dietary management, elderly physical activity management, elderly mental health management, intervention of risk factors, health risk assessment, health guidance, senile chronic disease health management, health monitoring and practical operation of health management. Experts will also introduce the latest knowledge and concept combined with case analysis, practical training and group discussion.
