The First Phase of Capability Training Class for Managers at Child Welfare Institutions of

In line with the spirit of the Second Aiding Tibet Meeting of Ministry of Civil Affairs, to strenghten the capability of managers at child welfare institutions of Tibet so as to benefit more children at these institutions, on Sep 18, the first phase of Capability Training Class for Managers at Child Welfare Institutions of Tibet was opened. This class is held by CASWSS and organized by Prince of Peace Children’s Home and Children Rehabilitation Center in Wuqing, Tianjin.Wu Fuxiang, Director of Child Welfare Bureau of Social Affairs Department of Ministry of Civil Affairs, Zhang Mingliang, Standing Vice President of CASWSS, Liu Gang, deputy-director of Civil Affairs Bureau in Wuqing District, Tianjin, Chen Meiwen, head of Prince of Peace Children’s Home and Children Rehabilitation Center attended this opening ceremony. 21 heads and nurses from Lhasa, xigaze, qamdo, naqu, nyingchi participate in this training.

Wu Fuxiang said in his opening speech that this is the first training class for managers at child welfare institutions of Tibet, which is of great significance. We shall pay attention to the regional, ethnic and religious speciality of Tibet, and actively communicate with child welfare institutions across the country so as to build their own social welfare brand.

Zhang Mingliang extended his warmest welcome to all the students from Tibet. He said that during this training, child welfare experts will teach knowledge about child education, safety and laws, workers from Prince of Peace Children’s Home and Children Rehabilitation Center will share their experience in rehabilitation and care for the children with cerebral palsy. Besides, there will be communication chance to Nankai University, Tianjin Child Welfare Center and Tianjin SOS Child Home. He hopes that students could study hard , learn related policies and knowledge of child welfare, by combining their own situation, to raise the service level of serving the child in special needs and strenghten caring for them.
