Heiyoushan Elderly Community residents give thumbs up to services

To tackle its increasing population of senior citizens, authorities in Karamay are looking committed to improving its elderly care.

The city's nursing homes have been filled to overcapacity in recent years, as the demand for nursing home places has increased.

However, despite the demand for places, residents at Heiyoushan Elderly Community in Karamay are overjoyed with the services and support they receive there.

Tang and Kong, elderly couple from Karamay, moved into the nursing home last year. Tang volunteers as a community's "teacher" and dispels his knowledge to other elderly residents, including topics on geography and history. "I am satisfied with the food and living conditions of Heiyoushan," said Tang.
