Fifteen minutes senior service circle created in Nanyang, Henan

The elderly only need to dial the hot-line to get information and news, daily care, household service, health care and other home-based care services. Emergency call or urgent cry, telemedicine, anti-lost electronic fence and other functions towards the elderly can be used to implement through information-platform technology...a e-nursing home will be created with the help of internet technology. On November 17^th, reporters were informed at a press conference held by Nanyang Civil Affairs Bureau that Nanyang is greatly accelerating the construction of senior service system, actively build a smart senior service platform. 

This platform will create a fifteen minutes senior service circle with the core community through social resources integration, on the basis of 12349 civil affairs charity service hot-line, fully utilize smart city construction, government purchase senior service related matching policy and fund, so as to provide easy and quick, timely and efficient, safe and reliable service to the elderly. 

It is understood that until the end of 2016, the elderly population over 60 will reach 1,589,600 in Nanyang,accounting for 15.41% of the city’s total population, the aging trend is obvious. Currently, the city owns 246 public nursing homes, 113 private nursing homes, 323 urban and rural community home-based nursing homes. To accelerate the development of senior service industry, Nanyang has issued a series of measures, since last year the government has invested more than 10,000,000 yuan to support daily care, nursing homes and senior service informatization platform construction, in the meantime increase the preferential policy to the elderly and broaden the coverage of old age allowance.
