Guangdong: Half Administrative Fees for Commercial Nursing Homes

According to information, the present age structure of Guangdong resident population has entered “a structure of elder society”, with the proportion of elders aged over 65 researched 8.62% last year. As the aging population gradually increases in Guangdong province, it is extremely urgent to improve senior service ability. It is learned that  Guangdong Provincial Senior Service Regulations(hereinafter Regulations) has been passed by the Standing Committee of the Guangdong People’s Congress. Regulations made a number of stipulations on aged infrastructure construction and service ability cultivation and specified newly-built residential areas must equip senior service infrastructure by the standard of no less than 20 square meters per household, hopefully to further raise senior service security level in Guangdong province. To encourage social forces to invest in the construction of nursing homes, Regulations offered certain tax concessions included exempting the construction of charitable nursing homes and medical and nursing institutions from administrative fees, halving administrative fees on the construction of commercial nursing homes and medical and nursing institutions.
