Beijing Characteristic Senior Mode Initial Formed Pension Fund Increased to RMB1.2 Billion

In the past few days, reporters learned from Beijing Civil Affairs Bureau that Beijing has elaborately built service system, deepened reform on nursing homes, initially formed a senior mode with the characteristics of government dominated, society engaged, professional operation and home-based focused in recent years. 

As to top design, Beijing introduced the first local laws and regulations on home-based senior service--Beijing Home-Based Senior Service Rules; accomplished Development Plans of Beijing Aging Cause during the 13th Five-Year Plan, introduced guidance documents Suggestions on Accelerating the Development of Senior Service Industry, Implementation Measures on Accelerating Beijing Nursing Homes Construction. 

Ding Lijuan, who is in charge of Sanlitun Community Senior Service Station, the birthplace of Beijing community senior service station, told reporters social workers and volunteers provided elders various services including medical service. Now this station has established a whole set of service system. They provide services to more than 2,000 elders annually.
