Xi Jinping: Aging Is the Top Concern of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China

According to the reports of News and Newspaper Abstract of Voice of China, during President Xi Jinpin’s deep investigation to Hongkou district of Shanghai in November, 2018, he emphasized that we should provide seniors a sense of security and make sure that they live an enjoyable, healthy and long life. As the “last mile” of urban governance, communities should learn residents’ worries and troubles timely, and help to solve them one by one. To date, the existed 35 community stations have truly become the “15-minute community life service circles” to the surrounding residents.

On November 6th, 2018, Secretary General Xi Jinping went to first branch of Jiaxing road, a public station of Hongkou, Shanghai and cordially exchanged with the elderly. He said the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China attaches great significance to the work of senior service, and is expected to implement the policies in place and benefit more seniors.

He also noted that aging is the top concern of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China. China is now moving into an aging society and therefore the well-being of seniors, the sense of security and their health conditions are imperative for all people’s happy life.
