Beijing Fengtai District Successfully Built “Elders and Infants” Nursing Station

First “elders and infants” nursing station in Fengtai started its business recently. Residents living around accompanied their preschoolers to experience such services.  

It is introduced that this nursing station is located in Majiapu East Road, Fengtai district. It covers an area of 328 square meters and a service radius of 3 kilometers around. In the jurisdiction, there are 3560 elders aged 60 or above, and 580 aged 80 or above. The demand for elderly services is concentrated. In addition to providing basic services such as nutritious meals and rehabilitation physiotherapy to the elders living around, “elders and infants” nursing station also included professional early childhood education services. In the future, the elders can come to this nursing station together with their grandchildren. The grandchildren will join the early childhood education activities on the second floor, while the elders enjoying services for them. Both the children and the elders will have so much fun in this “elders and infants” nursing station.  

Leader of the “elders and infants” nursing station said that they not only provide an area for children to play, but also include professional institutions launching early childhood education, day care and multiple intelligence classes facing children aged 0 to 6.

Leader of Fengtai Aging Office said that 100 nursing stations are planned to open by the end of 2020 in Fengtai district. At present, 58 nursing stations have been put into operation. This year, Fengtai will build 15 nursing stations, 12 of which will be put into operation. At the same time, 3 elderly care centers will also be started the construction.
